Usage and billing

What counts as a check, what happens if you go over, and how to change plans.

What counts as a check

One submission checked by Cayve is one check: a form message, a comment, a review, a registration or an API call.

  • Checks with test keys aren’t counted.
  • The same submission sent twice (the same submission_id) is counted once.
  • A form your form plugin has already rejected never reaches Cayve.
  • Checks in shadow mode are counted.

Seeing your usage

Usage in the dashboard shows this month’s checks against your allowance, and checks per day for the last 30 days, split into allowed, held and blocked.

Going over your allowance

Protection never switches off. The fast checks keep running on every message; only the deeper checks pause until your allowance resets at the start of the next month. To avoid that, move to a larger plan.

Plans

Every plan has every feature, unlimited sites and unlimited team members. Plans differ only in how many checks they include a month. See pricing.

You can pay monthly or yearly. Paying yearly costs less, and you still get the plan’s full allowance every month.

Changing your plan

Owners choose a plan under Account → Billing: pick Monthly or Yearly, then press Choose next to the plan. To change or cancel a plan you already pay for, press Manage billing. That opens our payment provider’s secure page, where cards, invoices and cancellations are handled; Cayve never sees your full card number.
