Terms of service
Last updated November 2, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between you and HJI Technologies, LLC (“we”, “us”) for the use of Cayve: the dashboard at app.cayve.co, the API, the WordPress plugin and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use Cayve for a business, you agree on its behalf.
Your account
Keep your sign-in email and API keys secure; you’re responsible for activity in your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone has used it without permission. Owners and admins you appoint can manage your account, its sites and its team.
Using Cayve
You may use Cayve to protect websites and applications you own or manage with permission. You agree not to:
- use the Service to break the law or to infringe anyone’s rights;
- attempt to probe, test or work around Cayve’s detection to help send spam, or resell its decisions as a way to do so;
- interfere with the Service, overload it or access it other than through the interfaces we provide;
- share your API keys outside your organization or use them in browser code.
Your data and your visitors
You keep ownership of the content your sites send to Cayve. You give us permission to process it to provide and improve the Service, as described in our privacy policy, including keeping scrubbed, encrypted learning copies unless you switch “Help Cayve learn” off. You are responsible for having the right to send your visitors’ submissions to Cayve and for telling your visitors how their information is used, for example in your own privacy policy.
Decisions are your call
Cayve gives each submission a decision and reasons, and acts on it according to the rules you set. No spam filter is perfect. Cayve holds uncertain messages for your review and keeps blocked ones for 30 days so mistakes can be undone, but you are responsible for reviewing held messages and for the rules and settings you choose.
Plans, payment and cancellation
Plans and their prices are shown on our pricing page and in the dashboard. Paid plans are billed in advance each month through our payment provider and renew automatically until canceled. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Account → Billing; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refundable except where the law requires. Going over your monthly allowance never switches protection off; the deeper checks pause until the allowance resets. If we change a plan’s price, we’ll tell you in advance and the change will apply from your next billing period.
The WordPress plugin
We grant you a license to install and use the Cayve plugin on sites connected to your account while you use the Service. The plugin installs signed updates automatically unless you switch that off; critical security fixes always install.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Cayve fast and available, and the plugin lets submissions through if Cayve can’t be reached. We may improve, change or retire features; if a change materially reduces what your plan includes, we’ll tell you first.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, fails to pay, or puts the Service or others at risk, and we’ll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. When an account is closed, we delete its data as described in the privacy policy.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t promise that every spam message will be caught or that no legitimate message will ever be held or blocked.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we’ll update the date above and notify customers by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
